Purpose and deliverables
The financial question, activities, reporting period, intended users and output format form the basis of the proposal.
OUR APPROACH
Our engagement process establishes the financial question, examines the relevant information and turns the findings into reports and recommendations management can evaluate.
Understand your business, its financial management priorities and the decisions the work should support.
A concise description of the business, the management question, intended use and preferred time frame.
An initial view of whether the request fits the company’s general corporate financial management services.
Review the information and financial processes relevant to the brief. Clarify assumptions, gaps and practical constraints before defining the assignment.
Relevant reporting periods, available records, existing processes and the people who can explain them.
A documented understanding of the review areas, information requirements and material limitations.
Define a proportionate work plan and proposed deliverables. The formal service agreement sets the scope, responsibilities, delivery arrangements and fees before work begins.
Agreed priorities, access arrangements, intended users of the analysis and the boundaries of the assignment.
A service proposal and, when accepted, a formal agreement covering scope, deliverables, timing and fees.
Carry out the agreed analysis or advisory work, clarify questions with management and communicate findings in the format defined by the engagement.
Information supplied under the agreed arrangements and management clarification where needed.
The reports, planning frameworks, assessment findings or management recommendations specified in the agreement.
Discuss the findings and their implications, distinguish assumptions from observations and identify any follow-up work that management wishes to consider.
Management feedback, questions on the deliverables and any material change in the underlying information.
A clear record of findings and next steps. Additional or continuing work is subject to an agreed scope.
